Rebuilding Together Houston Named OTC 2026 Beneficiary

Tuesday, April 21, 2026

Houston, Texas, USA (21 April 2026)—The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has selected Rebuilding Together Houston as the 2026 beneficiary. The organization was recognized for its longstanding commitment to improving housing conditions and strengthening neighborhoods across the Greater Houston area.

As part of OTC 2026, Rebuilding Together Houston will be recognized during the conference’s Opening General Session alongside this year’s Distinguished Achievement Award recipients. The annual event highlights leaders and organizations shaping the offshore energy industry while also recognizing OTC’s selected charitable beneficiary in support of the conference’s broader commitment to community impact.

Since its founding in 1982, Rebuilding Together Houston has served more than 15,000 homes in need and continues to provide critical services to hundreds of families each year. Through its repair and revitalization programs, the organization helps low-income homeowners, seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities remain safely in their homes while supporting long-term housing stability across the region.

“Houston has long played an essential role in OTC’s success, and we are proud to support organizations working every day to strengthen the communities that make this conference possible,” said Dan McConnell, Chairman of the OTC Board of Directors. “Rebuilding Together Houston’s hands-on efforts to improve housing conditions for residents in need across the city reflects the kind of local impact this initiative is meant to support, and we are honored to recognize them as this year’s beneficiary.”

Over the past decade, OTC has contributed more than USD 2 million to organizations including Young Women’s College Preparatory, Medical Bridges, Offshore Energy Center, Spindletop Charities Inc., Engineers Without Borders, Gulf of Mexico Foundation, Energy Institute High School, Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, International Federation of Red Cross, United Against Human Trafficking, and Oilfield Helping Hands.

“The Distinguished Achievement Award has become an important way for OTC to give back while celebrating excellence across the offshore energy sector,” said Amanda Rushing, Executive Director of OTC. “We are pleased to pair the event with meaningful charitable support and create additional opportunities throughout the conference for attendees to contribute to this year’s beneficiary.”

OTC will also provide attendees with additional ways to support Rebuilding Together Houston during the conference, including through an on-site fundraising initiative with booth exhibitor Kendra Scott, which will donate 20 percent of proceeds to this year’s beneficiary.

According to Christine Holland, CEO of Rebuilding Together Houston, support from OTC will help expand the organization’s ability to deliver critical repairs and accessibility improvements to Houston-area homeowners. “Every project we complete helps a family remain safer in their home and more connected to their community. Contributions like this directly strengthen our ability to serve more neighbors across the region.”
