OTC AND NAPE ANNOUNCE 'SYNERGY IN ENERGY' FIRESIDE CHAT SPEAKERS

HOUSTON, Texas (10 August 2021) — The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and NAPE Summit today announced the names of the two executives participating in this year’s “Synergy in Energy” fireside chat, a first-of-its-kind joint event between the two conferences.

Randolph Bell, Director of the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center (GEC), will moderate a discussion about the energy transition between Chris Golden of Equinor and Kimberly Krieger from BPX Energy, bp’s U.S. onshore, unconventional oil and gas business. Golden and Krieger will share how the two companies are innovating to facilitate a low-carbon future and discuss more about their previously announced strategic offshore wind partnership.

As the chief operating officer at bpx Energy, Krieger oversees bpx’s onshore operations throughout Texas and Louisiana. A 25-year bp employee, Kim has held several leadership roles in Alaska, Trinidad & Tobago and the Gulf of Mexico.

Chris Golden is the senior vice president U.S. upstream and U.S. country manager at Equinor, overseeing the company’s largest international operations outside of Norway amounting to 260,000 bpd. Prior to joining Equinor, Chris served as the global security, health, and environment manager for ExxonMobil Production Company.

Randolph Bell is the Director of the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center (GEC), where he oversees the center’s research and programs in Washington and elsewhere, including the annual Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum in Abu Dhabi. His work has focused on the geopolitics of the energy transition, nuclear power and US national security, and more recently on advancing the hydrogen economy.

OTC will be held at the NRG Park Aug. 16-19 and NAPE Summit will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center Aug. 18-20. The joint Synergy in Energy event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 18.
