OTC Brasil Names 2013 Technical Program
The conference will bring upstream professionals from around the globe to
Rio de Janeiro on 29-31 October 2013.
Rio de Janeiro (29 October 2012) –The Offshore Technology Conference and the IBP - Instituto Brasileiro de Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis (the Brazilian Petroleum, Gas, and Biofuels Institute, IBP) Board of Directors have named Marcos Assayag and Jerry Streeter as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the 2013 OTC Brasil Program Committee.
Assayag, Executive Manager of Petrobras Research Center (CENPES), and Streeter, Shallow Water Field Development Manager at FMC, will lead a distinguished slate of international and Brazilian experts in creating a world-class technical program for OTC Brasil. The program committee will include a broad range of senior technical experts and will develop a comprehensive technical program representative of the OTC sponsoring societies, which cover all aspects of offshore technology.
“We are pleased to have two very qualified candidates to develop our technical program for OTC Brasil,” said OTC Chairman Steve Balint. “Marcos and Jerry are respected professionals and I am confident they will cover topics that are not only important for this region, but for the entire offshore industry.”

During the 3-day conference, OTC Brasil will present special sessions, panel sessions, and a range of special events covering business-related topics. OTC Brasil is also an opportunity for industry and technical leaders to share their views on key trends and issues. Updates on key international offshore projects in Brasil and around the world will also be presented.
The call for papers for OTC Brasil will begin December 2012. The program committee will review proposals and determine which will be presented. Additional information will be available on the OTC Brasil website, www.otcbrasil.org.
The inaugural OTC Brasil took place in 2011 and was well-received. More than 10,000 attendees took part in the conference, as well as 435 exhibitors from 23 countries.
