RICHARDSON, Texas, USA (February 8, 2007) – The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), the world’s largest event for the development of offshore oil and gas resources held annually at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas, will expand into the adjacent Reliant Stadium and add more outdoor exhibit space at the 2007 event scheduled for 30 April-3 May.
OTC also has expanded the exhibition area with an enclosed, climate-controlled Pavilion adjacent to the main exhibit hall in Reliant Center, and with an outdoor exhibit that extends the entire length of Reliant Center, as well as additional outdoor exhibits between the Reliant Stadium and Reliant Astrodome. Although Reliant Stadium space has been sold out, OTC continues to offer additional outdoor exhibit space.
Currently, the OTC exhibit area totals more than 515,600 net square feet (the equivalent of 13 football fields), an increase of 46,000 net square feet compared with 2006. As OTC continues to assign additional outdoor space, the total net square feet will increase. As of late January, OTC had 185 new exhibitors for the 2007 event.
“There is strong industry demand to exhibit at the world’s largest offshore event. The expansion into Reliant Stadium allows many companies that have been on a waiting list to exhibit at OTC for the first time. We know that this is going to be a huge event with a huge attendance. The stadium is a short walk from the exhibit hall, and we are planning special activities to encourage visitors to the new areas,” said Arnis Judzis, 2007 chairman of the OTC Board of Directors.
Attendees will be able to register on-site at the Pavilion and Reliant Stadium, as well as at the main exhibit hall. Online registration is available now at www.otcnet.org/2007.
To support the expanded event, OTC is providing more shuttles from Reliant parking areas with stops at all exhibit areas. Local Houston-area attendees can park at any official OTC hotel and ride a free shuttle to Reliant Park. Houston Metro service is also available to Reliant Park.
