RICHARDSON, Texas, U.S.A. (8 May
2003) - The 2003 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) concluded
today with 50,655 participants. This year's event took place 5-8
May at Reliant Center at Reliant Park in Houston.
The 50,655 participants in 2003
gives OTC the highest attendance since 1985, which drew 56,438.
Last year's attendance was slightly less than this year's, with
a total of 49,620. Those attending OTC represent 110 nations from
around the world.
"OTC is not just a conference,
it's the convergence of thousands of people, minds, and ideas for
four days of sharing and building relationships," said Charlie
Richards, OTC .03 Chairman. "And this year's OTC was extremely
successful in light of all the current world events. The event continues
to prove its value in the industry and that it is a must-attend
for those in the industry."
The exhibition at OTC this year
included almost 2,000 companies, divisions, and subsidiaries, totaling
383,350 net square feet.
The conference program included
more than 310 technical presentations, nine topical luncheons, four
industry breakfasts, and the OTC Awards Luncheon.
The 2004 OTC, "Innovation
Without Limits," takes place 3-6 May at Reliant Center at Reliant
Park.

Technology Conference is the world's foremost event for the development
of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production,
