RICHARDSON, Texas, U.S.A. (8 May 2003) - The 2003 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) concluded today with 50,655 participants. This year's event took place 5-8 May at Reliant Center at Reliant Park in Houston.

The 50,655 participants in 2003 gives OTC the highest attendance since 1985, which drew 56,438. Last year's attendance was slightly less than this year's, with a total of 49,620. Those attending OTC represent 110 nations from around the world.

"OTC is not just a conference, it's the convergence of thousands of people, minds, and ideas for four days of sharing and building relationships," said Charlie Richards, OTC .03 Chairman. "And this year's OTC was extremely successful in light of all the current world events. The event continues to prove its value in the industry and that it is a must-attend for those in the industry."

The exhibition at OTC this year included almost 2,000 companies, divisions, and subsidiaries, totaling 383,350 net square feet.

The conference program included more than 310 technical presentations, nine topical luncheons, four industry breakfasts, and the OTC Awards Luncheon.

The 2004 OTC, "Innovation Without Limits," takes place 3-6 May at Reliant Center at Reliant Park.

Founded in 1969, the Offshore Technology Conference is the world's foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection.
