Room 306 Panel: Improving Operational Integrity in Offshore Energy Operations— A Global PerspectiveModerators: Buford Pollett, Texas attorney and licensed geoscientist; Ben Schoffmann, President & CEO, Kakivik Asset Management, LLC As the global offshore energy industry continues to adapt to ongoing technical challenges and a changing regulatory environment, the industry has focused efforts on increasing operational integrity in ongoing and future offshore operations. Industry professionals, safety experts, and government officials are working together to promote operational integrity. At the same time, the industry is under greater scrutiny from the general public and regulators. Because of higher visibility, it is experiencing a more extensive regulatory review process than what it has previously experienced. This panel, composed of a multinational group of industry leaders and governmental officials, will address the growing opportunities and challenges that members in the industry face, as well as the current approaches in maintaining operational integrity.
