Transportation and Parking

Airport Taxi Service

Taxi service between George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Reliant Park is approximately USD 55; service between William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Reliant Park is approximately USD 30. Cab sharing is permitted with a maximum of four passengers per cab.

Airport Shuttle Service provided by SuperShuttle

OTC attendees receive a discounted fare with SuperShuttle by using discount code PXGQM. Tickets may be purchased at the airports or at the Airport Shuttle Desk in Lobby A/B of Reliant Center.

Buses will depart from the side entrance of Reliant Park every hour on the hour.

METRO

The METRORail can help OTC attendees get around Houston. Trains run every 12 minutes and the cost is USD 1.25 each way. METRO’s Airport Direct offers transportation from downtown Houston to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) for USD 4.50 one way. Purchase tickets online.

Car Rental

Enterprise and National are the official OTC 2011 car rental companies and offers discounts to OTC attendees. An Enterprise information desk is located in Reliant Center Lobby B on level 1. Car rental is available on-site.

Reliant Park Parking

Allow plenty of time for the extra traffic around Reliant Park during OTC. Close-in parking fills up quickly. After midmorning, considering exiting on South Main and park in the green, purple, or teal lot. A complimentary shuttle service is available to take you to the OTC entrance.

The parking fee at Reliant Park is USD 10 per entry. For your convenience, a special parking permit is available for USD 44 that gives you unlimited in-and-out privileges during the 4 days of the show. Vehicles with permits may leave and return between 0600 and 1900 hours, Monday through Thursday, but may not be left overnight.

Permits can be obtained on-site in the Exhibitor Services Center in Reliant Center, level 1, in room 104C. Bring your parking stub to the service desk for a USD 10 credit towards the purchase of a permit. If you have preordered a permit, a refund of USD 10 will be processed when you pick up your permit.

Handicap Parking

Reliant Park has ample handicap parking spaces located in the following lots: Red Lot #4: 59 spaces; Orange Lot #10: 53 spaces; and Blue Lot #16: 16 spaces.

New! ConocoPhillips Park & Ride Lot

Houston attendees who live on the west side of Houston can take advantage of this additional transportation option. Park at the ConocoPhillips lot and have an OTC shuttle bus deliver you to the front entrance of Reliant Arena. Avoid Houston traffic and save time and money!

Complimentary Shuttle Service Within Reliant Park

There will be an express shuttle from Reliant Center to Reliant Arena, located outside Lobby B, Rotunda Area. This shuttle does not make parking lot stops.

Complimentary Shuttle Service to Reliant Park from Hotels

Complimentary shuttle service for OTC 2011 attendees is provided between Reliant Park and official OTC hotels during conference hours, with the exception of Holiday Inn South Loop. Schedules are posted in hotel lobbies. Shuttle service begins Monday, 2 May, and continues through Thursday, 5 May.

Policies and Procedures

Attendee Qualifications

All attendees are required to wear their OTC name badge and badge holder at all times. Use of a badge by a person not named on the badge is grounds for confiscation. If you lose your conference badge, please return to Registration to obtain a replacement. Attendees 15 to 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No one under 15 years of age will be admitted to OTC.

Alcohol Policy

We recognize the legitimate serving of alcoholic beverages in the process of conducting business and social activities.  We also recognize that the use and consumption of alcohol carries with it the requirement for all attendees to consume those beverages responsibly and in keeping with our professional code of ethics and conduct. We strongly oppose the abuse and misuse of alcohol.

Americans with Disabilities Act

We take pride in ensuring that our meetings and events are accessible to all attendees with special needs. All meeting rooms are wheelchair accessible. Should you require special arrangements, please contact our staff at OTC Headquarters.

Mobile/Cell Phone Policy

As a courtesy to the speakers and your fellow attendees, please turn off all mobile phones during meetings and sessions.

Photography Policy

All OTC sessions are protected by US copyright laws. Photography and video/audio recording of any kind are strictly prohibited in the sessions and throughout the exhibition area.

Safety

One of the key components to the success of OTC is the safety of our attendees and presenters. Due to the popularity of some session topics, it is possible for overcrowding to occur in a session or meeting room. Should this occur, we must comply with the Fire Marshall’s policies regarding room capacity and limit admittance to a room that is at capacity. Please make plans to arrive early for sessions that you have a strong interest in attending.

In the event of an emergency, OTC staff and/or convention center staff will provide conference attendees with any necessary information and instructions.

Smoking Policy

Reliant Center and Reliant Arena are nonsmoking facilities. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the centers except in designated smoking areas.
