Tim Probert, President of Halliburton’s Global Business Lines and Chief Health, Safety and Environment Officer

Tim Probert is president of the global business lines, and is chief health, safety and environment officer of Halliburton. As head of global business, Probert oversees two divisions, all product service lines, and technology, mergers and acquisitions. He is also a member of Halliburton's Executive Committee.

Probert was previously president of the drilling and evaluation division and corporate development at Halliburton where he was responsible for technology and supply chain management. Other positions include executive vice president of strategy and senior vice president of the drilling and evaluation division.

Before joining Halliburton in 2003, he was president and chief executive officer of Input/Output Incorporated and president of Baker Hughes INTEQ, Eastman Teleco and Milpark Drilling Fluids.

Probert has widespread industry experience and currently serves on the board of directors of El Paso Corporation. Probert’s career began in 1972 as a field geologist with Exploration Logging. He received his bachelor of science in geology and geography from the University of London.

Annell R. Bay, Senior VP of Worldwide Exploration, Marathon Oil Company
Annell R. Bay is senior VP of worldwide exploration at Marathon Oil Corporation. She joined Marathon in June 2008. Before joining Marathon, Bay was VP of Americas exploration at Shell E&P. Prior to Shell, she held the positions of VP, worldwide exploration in Houston and VP, North America exploration, in Denver, for Kerr-McGee Oil and Gas Corporation. Bay was with Oryx Energy Company prior to the merger with Kerr-McGee, and her responsibilities included manager of international exploration. She began her career in 1980 as an exploration geologist for Shell Oil Company in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Currently, Bay serves as a board member of the National Ocean Industries Association and the American Association of Petroleum Geologist. She is a trustee of the American Geological Institute Foundation; and an advisory member of the Jackson School of Geology and the Bureau of Economics Geology, both of the University of Texas at Austin.

Bay received a bachelor's degree in geology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a master's degree in geology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Galen Cobb, Vice President of Industry Relations, Halliburton
As VP industry relations at Halliburton, Galen Cobb is responsible for the company’s global industry relations activities including managing energy trade policies, executive client relations, and trade organization oversight.

He has worked for Halliburton for over 35 years serving in various executive management positions in operations, marketing, sales, and business development. From 1991-94, he established Halliburton’s presence and operations in emerging markets and later named director of executive sales and business development with responsibilities for the worldwide promotion of Halliburton’s services and products.

Cobb serves on numerous industry, trade association, and civic boards including the World Affairs Council Board and Executive Committee, the World Energy Cities Partnership Board, the Offshore Technology Conference Board, and Spindletop Charities Board of Trustees.

Cobb is the also World Petroleum Congress US National Committee Chairman and serves on the Halliburton Foundation Education Advisory Board, Halliburton Community Relations Review Boards, and the Halliburton Supplier Diversity Executive Advisory Board.

Cobb is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, 1974.

Don Hrap, President of Americas, ConocoPhillips
As the ConocoPhillips America’s president, Don Hrap leads the development, operations, and services related to the company’s exploration and production business in the Lower 48 region of the US and in Latin America.

Before his present position, Hrap was president of the Lower 48 region and prior to that, senior vice president of Western Canada Gas. He joined ConocoPhillips in 2006 through the merger with Burlington Resources, serving as senior VP of operations for Burlington Canada. Earlier, he was VP for the North American division at Gulf Canada Resources, where he worked for 17 years.  

Hrap graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BS in mechanical engineering in 1982. In 1995, he graduated from the University of Calgary with a master’s in business administration.

Steve Leverette, VP Marketing for TLP’s and Semi’s, SBM Atlantia
Steve Leverette has been in the offshore industry for 32 years, involved in deepwater development and specifically tension leg platforms (TLP) for most of that time. Leverette’s career path includes 9 years with Gulf Oil Company, 10 years as head of a deepwater engineering firm, and 13 years with SBM Atlantia.

Leverette received his PhD from MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. He was on the design team for the world’s first TLP, the first Gulf of Mexico TLP, the first mini-TLP, and the world’s first DeepDraft Semi. Leverette has been involved in 15 TLP and semi projects. He is currently chairperson of the API RP2T committee. 

Charlie Rhoads, Managing Director, Lowry Rhoads Associates
Charlie Rhoads is the managing director for Lowry Roads Associate, an executive search and human resource consulting practice, where he counsels numerous companies in a variety of operational and management issues. His practice focuses on executive search engagements in the energy, energy services and process industries, and not-for-profit organizations. Most recently, he was a Partner in Boyden, the fifth largest international search firm.

Rhoads has over 30 years of corporate, operational, and consulting experience in all facets of human resources. Prior to his consulting practice, Rhoads held senior management positions in the energy, manufacturing, and financial services sectors. Previous positions include vice president of human resources for Gulf Oil Chemicals Company, vice president of human resources for Pennzoil Company, and senior vice president human resources for First Interstate Bank of Texas. Rhoads graduated from Temple University with a BS in business administration.
