ASME-IPTI / University of Houston Crawfish Boil Thousands of industry professionals and their families attend this annual event at the UH campus. Proceeds benefit engineering scholarships and academic programs at UH and other surrounding colleges. There will be food, live music and dancing, moonwalk and games for children, raffle with thousands of dollars in prizes, and presentation of the Industry Achievement Award - Titanium Crawfish. ASME-IPTI Woelfel Best Mechanical Engineering Achievement (BMEA) Award Reception During this event, we will present the Woelfel Best Mechanical Engineering Achievement (BMEA) Award at OTC, the Geoca Industry Achievement Award and the Lubinski Best Paper Award. This BMEA Award recognizes a product, device or system displayed at OTC that best reflects innovation and practical use of mechanical engineering in solving problems, improving design or maximizing performance within the energy industry. ASCE Hall of Fame Gala Please join the American Society of Civil Engineers and its Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute for the fifth annual Hall of Fame Gala at the Houston Petroleum Club. The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and awards. This year’s event will honor nine papers, authored by nineteen gentlemen whose work has made a lasting impact on the practice of offshore engineering. For the first time, this year’s event will include the induction of diplomats into the new Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port, and Navigation Engineers. Tickets are available for $150 a piece or $1500 for a table of 10. Please email Jennifer Moulton for ticket, sponsorship, or other event information. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, 30 April. |
