Priority Points POLICY CHANGE

The OTC Board of Directors has approved implementing a change to the OTC priority points policy beginning with the 2010 OTC exhibition.  OTC chose to review this policy because companies are experiencing budgetary constraints in today's market.  Previously, a priority company that did not participate in two consecutive years would lose its accumulated priority points.  If the company elected to participate in the following year, it would be assigned space as if it were a new exhibiting company.

In response to this economic situation, the new priority points policy states:

  • If a priority company does not exhibit in two consecutive years, they may return to OTC the following year with 2/3 of their previously accumulated priority points.
  • If a priority company does not exhibit in three consecutive years and wants to participate in the fourth year, they may return with 1/3 of their previously accumulated priority points.
  • If a priority company does not exhibit in four consecutive years, all previous points accumulated will be eliminated.
  • The accumulated priority points will be based on the amount of points earned in their last year of participation.

OTC appreciates your support of the industry and trusts that the changes will provide your company with more flexibility.
