Structuring Projects to Benefit Multiple Shareholders: How IOCs, NOCs, and Service Companies Can Collaborate to Create Shareholder Value and Promote Local Development
0730–0900, Tuesday, 5 May
International oil companies (IOCs) are finding it difficult to gain access to resources. The citizens and national governments of several resource rich countries have become frustrated by their failure to translate oil revenues into lasting economic benefits for their nations. Increasingly, contracts awarding access to resources include provisions requiring a growing level of local content in capital and operating expenditures, as well as programs to build local capabilities. This panel will discuss the needs of resource rich countries and the measures that IOCs and their suppliers can take to address those needs. Purchase a ticket to this event.
