Shouwei Zhou, President, CNOOC Limited
Shouwei Zhou was appointed the president and director of CNOOC Limited, responsible for management and operation, in July 2002. Zhou is also a vice president of the China National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC).
Zhou joined CNOOC in 1982 and served in various roles of increasing responsibility including deputy manager of China Offshore Oil Bohai Production Company, deputy manager of production, chief representative for the joint management committee with Chevron and Kerr McGee, president of China Offshore Oil Bohai Corporation, and general manager of CNOOC Tianjin Branch.
Zhou obtained his BS and PhD degrees in production engineering and natural gas engineering from Southwest Petroleum Institute in China.
