Davis Thames, President, Cheniere Marketing
Davis Thames has served as president of Cheniere Marketing since November 2007 and senior vice president of marketing for Cheniere Energy since December 2007. He joined Cheniere in July 2005 as the vice president of marketing and analysis.
Before joining Cheniere, Thames worked for several years at CrossCountry Energy,serving as director of finance, risk management, and credit for Transwestern Pipeline, Florida Gas Transmission, and Northern Border Partners,before being promoted to senior director of special projects at the time of CrossCountry’s acquisition by Southern Union and General Electric.Thames also served aspresident of Citrus Trading and worked in several structured commodity derivative and project finance teams for Enron.Prior to joining Enron, Thames managed one ofFlowserve’s engineering groups designing rotating equipment.
Thames earned a BS degree in mechanical engineering fromthe University of Texas at Austin, an MS degree inmechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, and an MBA degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
