Abe Palaz, Director of Educational and R&D Partnership, Halliburton
Abe Palaz currently serves as director of the educational, research, and development partnership for Halliburton. He joined Halliburton in 1997 and has served in several posts of increasing responsibility, most recently as country manager for Halliburton in Azerbaijan.
Palaz has over 20 years of experience, beginning his career as a wireline field engineer. He also worked in upstream business with Amoco for 8 years and served as a general manager and faculty member for a Boston-based petroleum executive training company.
Abe holds BS degrees in geology and geophysical engineering from the University of Istanbul, an MS degree in geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines, and a PhD degree in reservoir engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He also completed Rice University’s executive management program.
