The Texas Board of Professional Engineers and the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists host a joint breakfast that focuses on ethics in the offshore energy industry.

Y. Lynn Clark, Chairman, Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists

Lynn Clark was appointed in 2005 by Governor Perry for a 6-year term on the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.The board elected him chairman in 2007.

Clark has worked in oil and gas exploration primarily in the Gulf Coast from South Texas to Louisiana. In the late1980s, he began concentrating on environmental science and formed his own consulting firm in the early 1990s.Clark is currently vice president and principal geoscientist of LCA Environmental and president of PerTect Detectors, where he holds three US patents for a shallow subsurface organic vapor monitoring system.

Clark earned a BS degree in biology from the University of Miami, where he also worked at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.He also holds an MBA degree from Southern Methodist University and an MS degree in geoscience from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a past president of the Texas Association of Professional Geoscientists.

C.W. Clark, Director of Compliance & Enforcement Division, Texas Board of Professional Engineers

As director of the Compliance & Enforcement Division of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, C.W. Clark manages the day-to-day operations, including policy advisories, investigations of enforcement cases against violators, and outreach programs to educate the public and licensed engineers on engineering matters pertaining to the Engineering Practice Act.

Before joining the State of Texas, Clark worked for 21 years in private industry as an electrical engineer with Motorola. He also spent 8 years with Texas Instruments.

Clark has a BS degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
