At the Awards Luncheon, OTC recognizes outstanding achievements in the offshore E&P industry by honoring an individual and organization or company with an OTC Distinguished Achievement Award.
The keynote address titled "New Perspectives for Mexico’s Hydrocarbon Sector" will be given by Jesús F. Reyes-Heroles, director general, Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX). Tickets for this limited seating luncheon are USD 40.

Jesús F. Reyes-Heroles, Director General, Petróleos Mexicanos
Jesús F. Reyes-Heroles currently serves as director general of Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX). His professional career has been a combination of private practice and public service, beginning in 1975 as research assistant at Mexico’s Central Bank.
His private practice experience has included executive president of GEA/StructurA, a consulting firm which he cofounded, and director general of Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos.
Reyes-Heroles has served in government as the Mexican Ambassador to the US. He also held the position of Secretary of Energy during President Zedillo's term, serving as president of the board of several companies including PEMEX, Comisión Federal de Electricidad, and Compañía de Luz y Fuerza del Centro. Prior to this, he served as chief of staff for the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and as general director of financial planning at the Treasury Ministry.
Reyes-Heroles has multiple publications in academic books and journals. He has been member of the board of Banamex Citigroup and WalMart México.
Reyes Heroles holds a BA degree in economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico and a PhD degree in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Fullbright fellow
