Pierre-Armand Thomas photoPierre-Armand Thomas is the senior vice president of new technologies offshore at Technip. He is in charge of the research and development policy, the intellectual property department, and the oversight of technological risk management across all offshore operations.

Thomas began his career with the Compagnie Française d’Entreprises Métalliques and remained there 13 years, ultimately working as an engineering director. He joined Technip Geoproduction (TPG), a subsidiary of Technip, as the deputy technical director. In 1996, he was named the vice president of engineering and projects, and he became the deputy general manager responsible for the technical and commercial performance of major projects in 1998. He later served as the chief operating officer when TPG became a unit of the Technip Group before being appointed as the vice president of technology, innovation, and risk management after the merger of Technip and Coflexip..

Thomas is a graduate civil engineer of the Ecole Supérieure des Travaux Publics de Paris and of the Centre des Hautes Etudes de la Construction.
