Countries Participating in the Visa Waiver Program
Those traveling to the US from one of the 27 Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries are eligible to enter the US without a visa if they have a machine-readable passport. If your country is not yet issuing machine-readable passports, you will need to obtain a visa for travel to the US.
The VWP countries are:

New Information for Citizens of Canada, Mexico and Bermuda
The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires all citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Bermuda to have a passport or other accepted document that establishes the bearer’s identity and nationality to enter or re‑enter the United States from within the Western Hemisphere.
