OTC recognizes outstanding achievements in the offshore E&P industry by honoring an individual and organization or company with an OTC Distinguished Achievement Award. The keynote address will be given by Chad Deaton, chairman of the board and CEO of Baker Hughes. Tickets for this limited seating luncheon are US $40.

Chad Deaton has served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Baker Hughes since he joined the company in October 2004. Before coming to Baker Hughes, he served as president and chief executive officer of Hanover Compressor Company. Deaton also served as executive vice president and senior advisor to Schlumberger Oilfield Services.

Deaton has been in the oilfield services industry since 1976 with the Dowell Division of Dow Chemical, Schlumberger and Hanover. Deaton is a director of CARBO Ceramics, Ariel Corporation and the Greater Houston Partnership. He is also active in numerous charitable organizations, including Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas and Houston Achievement Place. Deaton earned a BS degree in geology from the University of Wyoming.
