"New Waves in Deepwater" examines the changing face of worldwide deepwater ownership. It provides views of KMG, an established and successful operator, on interaction and partnering with major oil companies, national oil companies (NOCs), other aspiring independents and infrastructure providers in the deepwater.

Speaker Profile
Charles (Chuck) A. Meloy is vice president of exploration and production for Kerr-McGee Corporation, a position he has held since July 2005. Prior to this position, Meloy was named vice president of Gulf of Mexico exploration, production and development. He was named vice president and managing director of Kerr-McGee North Sea (UK) Limited in 2002. In 2000, he was named vice president of Gulf of Mexico deepwater. Following Kerr-McGee's merger with Oryx in 1999, he served as director of Gulf of Mexico deepwater development. Meloy began his career at Sun Oil Company (predecessor of Oryx Energy Company) in Abilene, Texas, as a production engineer. He held various positions with Oryx, including planning, operations and reservoir engineering, and served on the company's Gulf of Mexico deepwater team. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University.
