Visa and Travel Information

Travel to the U.S. is changing, including new visa requirements, revised entry procedures and longer visa processing times. To assist you in attending OTC, we are offering information to make the trip easier for you.

1. Generate an invitation letter. This letter will help you in the visa process, which can take several months. Start now to ensure that you have a visa in time. (Please note that this letter does not guarantee that you will be granted a visa, nor does it commit OTC to assist you in obtaining a visa. OTC does not agree to pay any expenses incurred by you. We cannot send the letter to the Embassy or Consulate for you, nor can OTC contact the Embassy or Consulate on your behalf. It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to obtain the necessary paperwork for entry to the U.S.)

2. To learn more about the visa process, visit the U.S. Department of State's visa pages. Everyone entering the U.S. must also enroll in the U.S.-VISIT program. This program requires that visitors have their index fingers scanned and a digital photo taken to enhance the security of U.S. citizens and visitors.

3. OTC will send you updates about programs and events surrounding OTC. Sign up for OTC News to make sure you receive the latest information.

4. The Houston Airport System is opening a new Federal Inspection Services Facility on 25 January 2005, making it easier and faster to enter Houston. The new facility includes 84 Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) booths.
