A state of the art education and entertainment complex, the Visitor
Center for NASA/Space Center Houston provides adventure into the
past, present and future of NASA's manned space flight program.
Original space hardware, such as Mercury capsule, Gemini spacecraft,
and Apollo 17 command module are displayed in simulated natural
settings.
Guests will enjoy an in-depth experience of everything required
to make adventures in space possible. At the Mission Status Center,
guests will listen to real time communications between Mission
Briefing Officers and current space flights. The Blast Off stop
on the tour will utilize modern technology to replicate the sights
and sounds of shuttle take-off. At another stop, guests will have
a chance to enter the Living in Space module where they will experience
what it is like to live in space. Guests will also enjoy lunch
during their space exploration at any of the Space Center's food
stations.

Guests will step aboard the Battleship Texas and discover the history
of this distinguished warship. Commissioned on March 12, 1914,
the Texas was considered the most powerful weapon in the world
and participated in both World Wars. This magnificent vessel is
permanently anchored on Buffalo Bayou at the San Jacinto Battleground
- home to the San Jacinto Monument and Museum. Guests will experience
the world's tallest memorial column, and witness the revolution
in the Jesse H. Jones Theatre of Texas at the San Jacinto Monument
and Museum. They will discover our nation's past among the museum's
exhibits and antiquities. While there, they will enjoy an outdoor
lunch and have time to stroll along the nature trail. Come and
